How the horticulture and nutrition communities can work together to make fruits and vegetables a global priority. The call began with highlights from a June conference held at UC Davis (http://horticulture.ucdavis.edu/event/nutrition-2017/), and discussion of a strategy for moving toward ensuring access to abundant fruits and vegetables for all.

Three UC Davis speakers included:

Beth Mitcham, Director of the Horticulture Innovation Lab, and Cooperative Extension Specialist in Postharvest Pomology

Reina Engle-Stone, Assistant Professor of Global Nutrition, and Program in International & Community Nutrition Faculty Member

Edye Kuyper, Nutrition Advisor, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences International Programs Office
