We wrote this brief, which explores SPRING’s work in Ghana, to determine how well our systems framework maps to “real world” nutrition programs. Our findings should be of interest to designers and implementers of multi-sectoral nutrition programs like SPRING, the global nutrition community of funders, and advocates like the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement. By using the systems framework to guide this qualitative mapping exercise, we were able to identify areas that were successful as well as those that could be strengthened with a systems-thinking approach.
